Step into the heart of an enchanting Sussex woodland and join us for a unique exploration of the ancient relationship between the plant and fungi kingdoms, and the profound ways they continue to shape our modern human experience.

Nestled beneath a canopy of ancient trees, this immersive day invites you to slow down, awaken your senses, and reconnect with the natural world. Wander woodland trails and explore the hidden intelligence of fungi and plants through this unique multi-sensory experience. 

Throughout the day, you’ll take part in a thoughtfully curated programme of immersive experiences that celebrate the remarkable relationship between the fungal and plant kingdoms. Through hands-on workshops, sensory exploration, and guided discovery, you’ll deepen your connection with the natural world before gathering around the fire to share a feast of delicious organic, woodland-inspired cuisine.

More than a day in the woods, this is an invitation to experience the forest as our ancestors once did, a place of nourishment, learning, wonder and belonging.

WHO WE ARE

Darren Le Baron is an ethnomycologist, organic horticulturist, permaculture educator and internationally recognised mushroom cultivation teacher. With over 13 years’ experience cultivating gourmet and medicinal fungi, he is passionate about reconnecting people with the natural world through hands-on learning, ecological living and community engagement.

Darren has inspired thousands through workshops, talks and immersive experiences across the UK and internationally. His work explores the remarkable relationships between fungi, plants and people, encouraging a deeper appreciation of the living world and our place within it.

Nina Green is an ethnobotanic chef and flavour researcher with a background in anthropology and the arts, drawing from her German herbal and Greek spiritual ecological heritage while incorporating her Ayurvedic culinary training into her multidisciplinary practices. Nina leads her School of Taste and Plant Sensing sessions, creating immersive environments for multi-sensory exploration. Her work aims to expand our perception of nature, exploring ideas of the subjectivity and sentience
